The Department of Computer Science
hosted a dynamic and insightful two-day National Conference on Computational
Sciences in Life, Computer, and Social Context. The event, held on March 15th
and 16th, 2024, brought together esteemed professionals, scholars, and
enthusiasts to explore cutting-edge developments and innovations in the field.
Day
1: March 15th, 2024
The conference commenced with an
auspicious inauguration ceremony. Mr. S.A.B. Nehru, the Head of the Department
of Computer Science, warmly welcomed the participants, setting a tone of
inclusivity and collaboration. Mr. T. Kamalakar Raju provided an overview of
the conference dynamics, outlining the objectives and expectations for the next
two days. Reverend Fr. Dr. Sagairaj blessed the gathering, infusing the event
with spiritual grace and goodwill and Reverent Fr. G. Kriran Kumar, wished the
gathering.
The highlight of the day was the
enlightening lecture by Chief Guest and Resource Person, Dr. A. V. Senthil
Kumar. With expertise from the Department of MCA at Hindustan College of Art
and Science, Dr. Kumar delved into the intricacies of research methodologies,
emphasizing the significance of choosing the right journals and understanding
impact factors and citations. His discourse on the transformative power of
research resonated deeply with attendees, inspiring them to contribute
meaningfully to the academic landscape.
Dr. Ganti Naga Satish further enriched
the conference with his guest lecture on Machine Learning. Exploring the
fundamentals of data processing and algorithmic learning, Dr. Satish elucidated
the nuances of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning, igniting
curiosity and fostering a deeper understanding of this rapidly evolving field.

2: March 16th, 2024
The second day of the conference
continued to captivate participants with a diverse array of topics and
speakers. B. Srimukhi Syamala, from Tata Consultancy Services, shared
invaluable insights on unlocking one's potential in pursuit of dream careers,
empowering attendees to navigate the professional landscape with confidence and
purpose.
Dr. Sadu Chinranjeevi's exploration of
digital image attacks on social media underscored the pressing need for
enhanced cybersecurity measures in an increasingly digitized society. His
discussion on challenges and protective strategies provided attendees with
practical tools to safeguard their online presence effectively.
Rounding off the guest lectures, R.
Ashok from Wipro shed light on the latest technologies shaping the digital
frontier, offering a glimpse into the future of innovation and enterprise.
The valedictory session, graced by Dr.
R. Vijayakumari, Principal of Krishna University of Engineering and Technology,
marked a fitting conclusion to the conference. Dr. Vijayakumari's comprehensive
overview of Data Science and Machine Learning encapsulated the essence of the
event, bridging theory with practical applications and inspiring attendees to
continue their quest for knowledge and excellence.
In addition to the enlightening
sessions, the conference showcased the rich tapestry of research talent in and
around Andhra Pradesh. With 21 full-length research papers presented and
published with ISBN, the conference served as a platform for scholarly exchange
and collaboration, fostering innovation and advancement in computational
sciences.
