PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON SAFE NETWORK-HEALTHY BOUNDARIES

 

The Department of Computer Science at Andhra Loyola College organized a transformative personality development program, "Safe Network - Healthy Boundaries," for its first-year undergraduate students. The event, held on August 23, featured Mr. Chrysolyte Sanamanda, Executive Director of Red Rope Movement and Consulting HR Trainer, as the keynote speaker.

The session aimed to equip students with essential skills for navigating the digital world safely and establishing healthy personal boundaries. Mr. Sanamanda delivered an enlightening session on "Highlighting the Concept of the 'Iron Curtain'", emphasizing the importance of maintaining personal privacy and adhering to core values in our interconnected world. He also provided practical advice on managing online distractions and recognizing manipulative interactions.

The workshop received enthusiastic participation from 250 students, who engaged actively in discussions and practical exercises. The feedback from attendees indicated a high level of satisfaction with the knowledge gained and skills developed. The success of the program reflects the commitment of Andhra Loyola College's Computer Science Department to not only provide technical education but also to prepare students for the challenges of modern digital life.

The program received valuable support from HOD Mr. SAB Nehru, senior faculty member Dr. K.B.S. Sastry, and was meticulously organized by Staff Coordinator Ms. K. Aparna along with other faculty members from the department.

A Two Day National Conference on COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCES IN LIFE, COMPUTER AND SOCIAL CONTEXTS : Dated:15 & 16 March,2024



















 The Department of Computer Science hosted a dynamic and insightful two-day National Conference on Computational Sciences in Life, Computer, and Social Context. The event, held on March 15th and 16th, 2024, brought together esteemed professionals, scholars, and enthusiasts to explore cutting-edge developments and innovations in the field.

Day 1: March 15th, 2024

The conference commenced with an auspicious inauguration ceremony. Mr. S.A.B. Nehru, the Head of the Department of Computer Science, warmly welcomed the participants, setting a tone of inclusivity and collaboration. Mr. T. Kamalakar Raju provided an overview of the conference dynamics, outlining the objectives and expectations for the next two days. Reverend Fr. Dr. Sagairaj blessed the gathering, infusing the event with spiritual grace and goodwill and Reverent Fr. G. Kriran Kumar, wished the gathering.

The highlight of the day was the enlightening lecture by Chief Guest and Resource Person, Dr. A. V. Senthil Kumar. With expertise from the Department of MCA at Hindustan College of Art and Science, Dr. Kumar delved into the intricacies of research methodologies, emphasizing the significance of choosing the right journals and understanding impact factors and citations. His discourse on the transformative power of research resonated deeply with attendees, inspiring them to contribute meaningfully to the academic landscape.

Dr. Ganti Naga Satish further enriched the conference with his guest lecture on Machine Learning. Exploring the fundamentals of data processing and algorithmic learning, Dr. Satish elucidated the nuances of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning, igniting curiosity and fostering a deeper understanding of this rapidly evolving field.

Day 2: March 16th, 2024

The second day of the conference continued to captivate participants with a diverse array of topics and speakers. B. Srimukhi Syamala, from Tata Consultancy Services, shared invaluable insights on unlocking one's potential in pursuit of dream careers, empowering attendees to navigate the professional landscape with confidence and purpose.

Dr. Sadu Chinranjeevi's exploration of digital image attacks on social media underscored the pressing need for enhanced cybersecurity measures in an increasingly digitized society. His discussion on challenges and protective strategies provided attendees with practical tools to safeguard their online presence effectively.

 Rounding off the guest lectures, R. Ashok from Wipro shed light on the latest technologies shaping the digital frontier, offering a glimpse into the future of innovation and enterprise.

 The valedictory session, graced by Dr. R. Vijayakumari, Principal of Krishna University of Engineering and Technology, marked a fitting conclusion to the conference. Dr. Vijayakumari's comprehensive overview of Data Science and Machine Learning encapsulated the essence of the event, bridging theory with practical applications and inspiring attendees to continue their quest for knowledge and excellence.

In addition to the enlightening sessions, the conference showcased the rich tapestry of research talent in and around Andhra Pradesh. With 21 full-length research papers presented and published with ISBN, the conference served as a platform for scholarly exchange and collaboration, fostering innovation and advancement in computational sciences.

Overall, the National Conference on Computational Sciences was a resounding success, igniting intellectual discourse, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and paving the way for a brighter, more innovative future in the realm of computer science and beyond.












SEMINAR ON EMERGING TRENDS IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: Dated 31/08/2023

 The Department of Computer Science, Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, hosted on Enlightening seminar on “Emerging Trends in Information Technology” for our department III BSc & II BSc students on 31st of August 2023. As part of this programme we invited G Bharat Kumar Reddy founder & CEO of Pragmatiq Systems.

Mr. Bharat Kumar Reddy, a distinguished figure in the field of information technology, delivered an engaging keynote address that provided attendees with valuable insights into the rapidly evolving tech landscape. He highlighted the transformative role that emerging technologies are playing in reshaping industries and societies. During the seminar, Mr. Bharat Kumar Reddy delved into several pivotal areas driving innovation in the IT sector. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Block chain Technology, Cyber security, Could Computing, IOT. He encouraged students, professionals, and researchers to embrace innovation, stay updated with emerging trends, and contribute to the advancement of technology.



INDUSTRY VISIT : Dated 22/12/23

 On December 22, 2023, the Department of Computer Science at Andhra Loyola College organized an educational industry visit for 2nd-year BCA students to the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) in Vijayawada. The visit aimed to provide students with insights into the functioning of the IT industry, exposure to real-world applications, and an understanding of the latest technologies.

 The industry visit to STPI, Vijayawada proved to be a valuable and enriching experience for the 2nd-year BCA students from Andhra Loyola College. It enhanced their understanding of the IT industry, exposed them to cutting-edge technologies, and provided insights into the professional environment. 

The visit concluded with a sense of inspiration and motivation among the students to pursue excellence in their academic and professional endeavors. It is hoped that such industry visits will continue to be an integral part of the curriculum, fostering a strong connection between academia and industry for the holistic development of students.





 

 


INTERNATIONAL WEBINAR : Dated: 02/02/2024

 On February 02, 2024 the Department of Computer Science Andhra Loyola College organized an International Webinar On “ARE YOU READY?”  for II  & III BSc Computer Science Students. The resource person of this International Webinar was Mr. SrinivasaRao Dakshinyam, Enterprise Architect, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The International webinar provided a valuable platform for exploring the cutting edge of the computer field. By bringing together diverse perspectives from leading experts, the webinar offered a stimulating exploration of current trends and future possibilities. The insights gained from the presentations and discussions are likely to inspire further research, development, and innovation in the field. This international webinar was very informative and thought provoking to our students.
