The Department of
Computer Science organized a student beneficiary programmed called “LAB TO SCHOOL” on 28th
February. We invited 120 students from a ALCAA school. The computer lab proved
to be a valuable learning experience for the school students. It provided them
with a foundation for further exploration of technology and its various
applications. The visit sparked their interest in computers and helped them
develop a sense of confidence in using these tools for learning and creativity.
The Department of Computer Science,
Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada hosted an enlightening Two Day Workshop on
"The Theoretical Machine Learning"
on January 19 & 20, 2024. The event featured Ms. Jaswanthi Mandalapu IIT
Madras the esteemed resource person.
This workshop with curiosity,
enthusiasm, and a sense of exploration.The journey into Machine Learning may
have its challenges, but the rewards are vast and transformative. Together, let
us unravel the mysteries of Machine Learning and chart a course towards a
future where intelligent machines work hand in hand with human ingenuity.
The Department of Computer Science Andhra Loyola College organized an National Webinar On “CAREER GUIDANCE” was held on 2nd February 2024 for II & III BSc Computer Science Students. The resource person of this National Webinar was Mr Balaraju Kondaveeti, Co- Founder BodhBridge, Chennai.
This National Webinar was
a valuable resource for the students to kickstart career planning journey. By
implementing the strategies learned, the students are confident in navigating
the job market effectively and securing a fulfilling career path. The insights
from the webinar will be instrumental in making informed decisions about the
future education, skill development, and networking activities. This
National webinar was very useful to our students.
In this present scenario and in this fast developing world it is easy for us to lose touch with our personal life and wellbeing. And more importantly, the present tech- generation students need to be taught how to build their personality and positive lifestyle. With this caution in our mind, the department of computer science are very glad to conduct one day seminar on “Personality Development programme” for III year students of computer science department on 28 th of July 2023.As part of this programme we invited Dr. Eda Samuel Reddy founder, Chairman, Spandana EDA International foundation.
Dr. Eda Samuel and his
team addressed our staff and the students of computer science department with
various perspectives and caused among us awareness on how to recognize the
complexity of defining life's value. They gave us many inputs in-order to have self-control
and also motivated us to be focused on what we do and also guided us not to be
depressed and to have no anxiety about our future. Finally this program was
really very helpful to the students to overcome many personal problems and weaknesses
such as depression, anxiety, stress and hopelessness. The seminar was
informative and beneficial for our staff and the students.
We are very glad to conduct a “Computer Science Fair 2K23” for our Department Students on 21st of September 2023 that left attendees in awe of the exceptional talent and innovation displayed by students.
The Computer Science Fair featured an impressive array of projects and
presentations, ranging from innovative software solutions to cutting-edge
hardware projects.
Students showcased their skills in areas such as data science, mobile
app development, cyber security, IOT and virtual reality, the event provided a
platform for attendees to interact with the next generation of tech leaders and
witness the future of technology.
A
state level technical festival SCIENTIA -2K24 on 15 February, 2024 organised by
Department of Computer Science, Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada. An aim to
improve technical knowledge and professional competence among the young minds.
We invited nearly 50 colleges from a local and Non local Colleges.
Mr
Balaraju Kondaveeti, Co-founder and CEO of BodhBridge, Chennai was the Chief
Guest. Mr Balaraju highlighted the importance of critical thinking abilities
for Computer science students for developing solutions to real world problems.
The
event consists of various activities like Power Point Presentation, Quiz,
Coding & Debugging, Poster presentation, Kala Utsav, and Mr. and Ms.
SCIENTIA. These competitions have educative and entertainment values to make
learning an interesting component.
The webinar presented by Dr. T. Santhi Sri, Deputy Head (student affairs & skilling), professor, Dept. of CSE from Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation was organized by the Computer Science Department on 3rd February,2024.
The webinar began with a
foundational overview of deep learning. Deep learning is a branch of artificial
intelligence (AI) that utilizes artificial neural networks, inspired by the
structure and function of the human brain. These neural networks consist of
interconnected layers of processing units that learn from data to perform
specific tasks. The speaker elaborated on different deep learning
architectures, such as Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) effective for image
recognition and recurrent neural networks (RNNs) well-suited for handling
sequential data like language.
This webinar offered a
comprehensive introduction to deep learning and its applications. Understanding
the potential and limitations of deep learning is crucial for navigating the
ever-changing landscape of artificial intelligence. To make students comfortable with tools and
techniques required in handling large amounts of datasets.
